Selena Renee  Darley is a major suppoting character in the story story A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words. She currently attends Eleanor Roosevelt High School and is a member of the school's basketball, softball, and volleyball teams.

Selena has been described by others as being very strong and independent. Whenever she makes up her mind about something, it is very hard to pursuade her otherwise. Due to this, some people can describe her as being rather stubborn. Such a thing can be seen when she remains unmoving in her carreer choice despite protests from her mother.

Furthermore, like her father, Selena believes that it is her purpose in life to protect those who cannot protect themselves. This idea has lead her to want to follow in her father's footsteps and become a police officer. She hopes that someday she could be as respected in the force as her father is.

While she is very active in her school's sport teams, Selena has never classified herself as a tomboy. Rather, she sees herself as a nice mixture of tomboy and girlish traits. While she loves sports, she also spends some time with pursuits that could be considered feminie such as learning different ways to do her makeup and hair along with putting different outfits together.

Selena has light blonde hair that reaches a few inches past her shoulderblades and bright green eyes.
